Journey Among Men
Developed over two years on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung, Dhagung Wurrung, Taungurung, Gunai/Kurnai, Tati Tati, Barapa Barapa, Wamba Wamba and Yorta Yorta Country, the exhibition brings together newly created cultural belongings by eight First Peoples artists.
The exhibition features new works by Mick Harding, Brendan Kennedy, Kevin Williams, Earl Handy, Mitchil Harding, Cahill Kennedy, Iluka Sax-Williams and Lewis Wandin-Bursill.
Through carving, burning, incising and other cultural practices that bridge the old and the new, Journey Among Men celebrates the healing power of art, intergenerational knowledge sharing and the resilience of living culture.
